This is the bicycle's answer to the motorcycle top box, offering the benefits of a semi-rigid hard case in a lightweight, streamlined design. It is ideal for cyclists who are looking to carry a light load and want to keep a simple bicycle setup without fitting a conventional rear luggage rack.
The beauty of this product is in the simplicity of its design; the box and lightweight alloy rack frame are supplied as a set. It can be fitted to the bike in a matter of seconds and then quickly removed when it is no longer required.
The rack frame attaches to the seat post, making it suitable for most bicycle frames, including bikes with rear suspension, rear disc brakes or frames that do not have standard rack fixing points. A quick release bracket allows fast tools-free fitting and removal, with rubber shims provided to protect the seat post and prevent slippage.
The rack box comprises a water-resistant hard case covered with hard-wearing nylon for a superior finish. With a sealed zip providing easy access to the interior, your belongings should stay safe and dry. In addition, a waterproof high-visibility rain cover is included to provide total protection in wet and dirty conditions.
Inside, the case is lined and includes a padded base plate to give your belongings even greater protection. A movable divider helps keep things organised, while a zipped mesh compartment in the lid is perfect for storing papers or small items of clothing.
Outside, a groove in the base, complete with straps and buckles, enables you to attach a pump, while a folding jacket or rain coat can be tucked under the carry handle that is built into the lid.
Reflective beading around the lid, a reflective stripe on the back and a tab for a clip-on rear light or reflector are important safety features.
